The Bow Valley Learning Council (BVLC) is a community adult learning council located in Banff, Alberta. They are a non-profit organization dedicated to lifelong learning and providing low and no-cost learning opportunities to communities across the Bow Valley. They partner with a variety of community organizations to deliver services to meet the learning needs of our community.
Mission Statement
The BVLC will ensure the availability of part-time, non-formal programming in literacy, numeracy, English language learning and basic computer and life skills for adults through direct program provision and partnerships.
What the BVLC Does
The BVLC wants to help learners feel more confident communicating in English by helping them to meet their learning goals in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
They offer a number of different English classes in both Canmore and Banff.
The BVLC also places learners with tutors or in small groups and works with learners to set and work on individual learning goals.
