Good day, Young Adventurer! We're so glad you're interested in playing Dungeons and Dragons with us! Dungeons and Dragons is an on-going role-playing game set in an imaginary, magical realm. This means that you / your child will create a character, then take on the role of that character to tell a story with the other players.

Before registering, it's important to note that this program is somewhat different than other programs we offer at the Library, as it is a weekly long-term commitment, from November 2021 to Spring 2022. Our first session will be a “Session 0” where we introduce ourselves and our characters, make sure everyone can log in and go over all the ground rules. You do not need to have any previous experience to join Dragon Club.

We currently play online using a combination of Discord and Roll20, so the tech requirements are not insignificant, and Roll20 works best on a desktop or laptop. (Discord is the program we use to create a closed video chat channel for the players to join each week so we can communicate. Roll20 is the program we use to play the game, it will show the maps, character sheets, etc.) We will help guide you through getting these programs set up as best we can during “session 0”.

Having a player’s handbook is also very helpful for any D&D player. Player’s handbooks are available to borrow for an extended loan through the library for those who don't have one.

Are you ready to set off on an adventure to far off lands in search of treasure, magic, comradeship, and glory? Then register below today!

Dragon Club - Fridays - starts November 5th and will carry through until Spring 2022.
