Join Miss Rhonda and Miss Lyndsey for a fun filled storytime all about back to school/preschool! We'll have books, songs, rhymes and games all around this theme as well as a fun pencil holder craft! All you need is a clean recycled can, some paper, glue and items to decorate with such as stickers, markers and crayons!

Here is an example pencil holder I made with a recycled can, paper, glue and some markers! We'll go over the very basic instructions at storytime!

Are you ready to take a trip into outer space?! Join Miss Rhonda and Miss Lyndsey on an adventure that will take you out of this world! This week our books, songs, rhymes and games will be all about space! We're going to be making a telescope out of a recycled paper towel or toilet paper tube (You can even just used a rolled up piece of paper if you don't have either on hand).

Here is a link to the super simple craft we'll be making during storytime. Feel free to make yours ahead of time or bring the supplies with you!

With Thanksgiving just around the corner Miss Rhonda and Miss Lyndsey will be reading stories, singing songs and sharing rhymes all about being thankful and of course Thanksgiving itself! This week we will be having a Thankful Show and Tell, so be sure to bring something to share with everyone that you are thankful for! It can be a stuffy you cuddle at night, a picture of a person who is so important to you, your favorite book - anything at all! We can't wait to see what items you bring!

It's Miss Rhonda's favorite season! Autumn has arrived, and with it the beautiful red, orange and yellow leaves we see this time of year. At today's storytime we will be reading books, singing songs, and playing games all about Autumn and it's lovely leaves. We will have a fun fall color themed indoor scavenger hunt, and have created an outdoor scavenger hunt filled with things you see in Autumn. If you've had a chance to complete this hunt before our storytime, bring some of the items you've found to share! Otherwise, just print and enjoy the next time you and your little(s) are out on an Autumn Adventure!

Apples and pumpkins - two delicious fall treats! At today's storytime we are continuing our love of all things autumn and will be reading books, singing songs and learning all about apples and pumpkins! During storytime, we will be going over the different parts of an apple before using that apple to have some fun painting! If you have an apple on hand - feel free to bring one to use at storytime. It not, no worries! We hope you are inspired to create some fun apple pie art at your own leisure.

Trick or Treat! Today's storytime is all about Halloween and dressing up. To celebrate, we're having a dress up day! Be sure to come to storytime in your Halloween costume or any dress up clothes you might have. We can't wait to see you in your costumes! Do you think we can guess who (or what) you are?! Happy Halloween!

Today at storytime we are going to be celebrating kindness and being kind to one another! Being kind is simple, free, and easy to do! Join Miss Rhonda and Miss Lyndsey for a storytime all about pets! We will be sharing stories, songs and rhymes all about our favorite furred, feathered and finned friends! Do you have a pet at home? Bring them to storytime for our pet show and tell. Don't have a pet? No worries! Bring your favorite stuffy pet to show us instead!

This week at storytime Miss Rhonda and Miss Lyndsey are reading books, singing songs, and sharing rhymes all about snow! We have some fun hand print art planned as well, so bring some washable paints and paper to storytime if you'd like to participate in the craft! A colored paper such as blue is perfect for today's snowflake and snowman hand print art!

My daughter made these snowmen when she was in Kindergarten on a Christmas ornament and this poem was attached:

"These aren’t just 5 snowmen

As anyone can see

I made them with my hand

Which is a part of me

Now you can look back on winter 2020 and recall

When my hand was just this small." <3

For our final storytime of the year we are celebrating the upcoming holiday season! Lots of books, songs and rhymes all about Christmas and celebrating the holidays. We will also be going over a fun Christmas tree thumbprint craft that is perfect for decorating handmade Christmas cards! This craft requires a piece of white paper, a piece of construction paper, paint and a little bit of tape. You can see the full instructions here. See you there!
