Our spies have uncovered new intel: registration is open! Register, then pick up your logbook at the library starting June 14. Logbooks are available in French and English.

Kids ages 5-12 should register for the Kids SRG, and kids 4 and under should register for the Preschool SRG.

There is an optional competitive aspect to the Summer Reading Game this year! Join the Special Operations or Technical Operations teams to have your completed challenges added to an overall team score. Choose the Independent Agent team if you don't want to join the competition.

Special Operations

Logo: Red Panther

Leader: Agent Blaze (Alias: Anya)

Special Skills: The Special Operations Unit is responsible for working in the field. Agents in this unit rely on interpersonal skills and agility to gather intelligence from people of interest and infiltrate other spy premises. Special Ops agents are calm and composed in the face of danger, and always ready to put their skills to use in new environments.

Technical Operations

Logo: Blue Owl

Leader: Agent Nightshade (Alias: Kirsten)

Special Skills: The Technical Operations Unit is responsible for all computers, gadgets and codes that are used by the agency. Agents in this unit rely on problem-solving, intelligence and quick thinking to decrypt communications from other agencies and disarm security measures. Tech Ops agents can do anything with a computer in their hands, and work at headquarters to make sure every operation runs smoothly.

Independent Agents

Logo: Yellow Cobra

Leader: N/A

Special Skills: Independent Agents are spies who work best alone, and who will be taking on their Summer Reading Mission outside of the competition. While the Independent Agents still get a badge, logo, and access to all library programming, their completed challenges will not collate like our two competitive teams. Independent Agents are self-sufficient, hard-working, and intelligent, helping them to move through their non-competitive summer mission.
