Erasure, blackout poetry, or redacted poetry is a form of art in which words are erased or blacked out from a page of existing text, the results of which are framed as a poem. When only a select few words are visible, they tell an entirely new story.
To celebrate this surprisingly meaningful art form— and to give new purpose to some of our discarded books— Canmore Public Library has created a kit to inspire your inner poet!
