We are thrilled to announce a brand new, recurring community event coming to the Canmore Public Library!

At a recent library conference, CPL staff were inspired by the keynote speaker Richard Van Camp to start a new initiative that brings the community together in a meaningful way. In fact, we were so inspired that we couldn't wait another month to get started, so our first Full Moon Swap will be held April 16th, 2022!

April's full moon is also known as the Pink Moon. Therefore, our April Full Moon Swap will be of all things pink (or magenta, fushia, rose, red...anything within the pink family)! So gather your gently used items that fall within the spectrum of PINK and join us in celebrating the Pink Moon at our inaugural Full Moon Swap!

Full Moon Swap - April Pink Moon

Saturday April 16th, 2022

10am - 2 pm

Canmore Public Library Program Room

Our Full Moon Swaps will be held monthly, on or around the full moon. Each swap will have a theme connected to the name of the full moon that month, for example the Flower Moon or the Wolf Moon. We encourage community members to bring gently used items they no longer need or want to the CPL program room the day of the swap as a donation. Items will be displayed on tables and are available for anyone to take home with them, so please be sure the items you bring are items you are prepared to give away. Everything is FREE and everyone is welcome! You do not need to donate items in order to attend or take items home.

We hope these swaps will encourage community connection and help keep usable items from piling up in a landfill! Any items leftover at the end of the swap will be donated to a charity of our choice.   See you then!
