Friends of the Library Speaker Series Presents: Circling the Edge – Listening to the Whispers of the Wild Soul with Wilma Rubens

The Friends Speakers’ Series welcomes Wilma Rubens on Thursday, October 19th at 7:00pm for her presentation Circling the Edge – Listening to the Whispers of the Wild Soul.

Join Scottish-born Wilma G. Rubens as she tells how she defied cultural expectations, traveled the world, climbed remote mountains, and worked in exotic places. Her captivating stories of vulnerability and resilience, how she became a writer and what it means to be a woman, will inspire you to claim your own wisdom. She illustrates her talk with captivating photographs.

Wilma G. Rubens has decades of experience as a facilitator, coach, and author. Originally a Science teacher she found her passion in facilitating Conflict Resolution, Parenting, Stress Management, and Writing workshops. She followed her heart to Canmore with its vibrant arts and writing community in time. She and her husband are grandparents and love to travel and play in the mountains, their happy place.
