The Canmore Public Library's Seed Exchange

The Canmore Library Seed Exchange is now closed for the fall and winter. Thank you to everyone who participated, making this pilot project such a success!

Prepare your summer garden and weed out your leftover seeds by dropping them off at the Canmore Library's Seed Exchange, and take home as many new seeds as you’d like!

Everyone has leftovers, especially leftover seeds! Weed out your leftover seeds and drop them off at the Canmore Public Library's Seed Exchange! At this free exchange, you can drop off and pick up as many seeds as you like.

When dropping off seeds, please make sure that they are either in their original packaging, or in a labelled envelope detailing the species, and growing instructions. Please make sure that seeds given are less than 2 years old.

The Seed Exchange will run until July 31st.

The Rocky Mountain Outlook recently spoke to CPL clerk Mel, who started the Seed Exchange initiative, about the program. Read the article here.

Special Thanks to the Bow Valley Garden Centre for their generous donation of seeds!
