The Library Studio Presents:
Seed Exchange, Sustainable Gardening, and Food Systems in the Bow Valley

Join us for a night of open learning and discussion, with special guests form the Bow Valley Food Alliance, and the Banff Greenhouse and Gardening Society!

This Library Studio event will take place on Tuesday, July 30th at 6:00pm in the Friends Program Room. No registration is required for this drop-in event!

The Bow Valley Food Alliance (BVFA), formally established in 2016, is a local organization of passionate community members dedicated to addressing local concerns of food security and food sovereignty in the Bow Valley. The BVFA centers around providing access to affordable, healthy, and fresh food for everyone.

The Banff Greenhouse and Gardening Society (BGGS), established in 2011 with the building of the first Banff Greenhouse, has since been a pillar of the Bow Valley. Believing in gardening for everyone, the BGGS has supported gardeners throughout the years while adopting the practice of organic growing, for healthy eating and a lower environmental impact.

Both organizations are integral to the community of the Bow Valley, and CPL is very excited to host a night with a range of topics covering the Canmore Library Seed Exchange, seed storage and selection, as well as local food systems - and how they all work together!
