Author Visit with Valentina Fox

Please join us for an evening with Stoney Nakoda Elder and author, Valentina Fox, Îyâ Sa Wîyâ (Red Mountain Woman)!

Valentina will be presenting and reading from her latest book ÎETHKA: Stories and Language in Stoney Nakoda Country = Îethka Îabi ne Îethka Mâkochî nen, which was co-written by her late son, Trent Fox, Tatâga Thkan Wagichi (Dancing White Buffalo) and published by Durvile & UpRoute.

Valentina and Trent's lovely book contains a collection of illustrated stories and teachings in Îethka and English as well as an Îethka pronunciation guide and glossary. For more information about the work, visit the Durvile & UpRoute website.

Cafe Books will be joining us for the event and will have copies of ÎETHKA: Stories and Language in Stoney Nakoda Country = Îethka Îabi ne Îethka Mâkochî nen available for purchase. Copies of the book can also be borrowed through the TRAC system.

All ages are welcome! Drop in; no registration required.
