Kids Summer Reading Game
Welcome to the Summer Reading Game!
The Summer Reading Game is back this year to give kids a summer of reading and deep sea adventure!
Librarians at the Canmore Public Library have recently found a strange artifact in our collection. No one knows exactly what it is, or what it does, but it seems to have originated from the fabled city of Atlantis.
As a result, a new department at the library has been formed - the Institute for Ocean Exploration!
Now, the institute is looking for brave young adventurers like you, who can scour the depths of the ocean - and maybe even find evidence of the fabled Lost City itself.
Brave explorer, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for joining us in our quest to explore the oceans and discover evidence of the Lost City of Atlantis.

Children aged 5-12, or reading on their own, should register for this Kids Summer Reading Game.
Registration is now open. Kits will be available for pick up starting June 21, and the game starts July 2!

Join us for various arts and crafts activities with an Under the Sea theme!
Arts Under the Sea is a weekly crafts program for kids aged 5-12. Tuesday afternoons from 2-4pm.

Explorer's Academy will feature a variety of challenges designed for 9-12 year olds. Select Friday afternoons, 2-4pm. (July 12 & 26, August 9)

Join us for fun under-the-sea themed activities designed for 6-8 year olds! Explore drama, games and challenges to build your skills as a Jr. Explorer!
Jr. Explorer's Academy will feature non-craft activities including a scavenger hunt and game show challenge day! Select Saturday mornings, 10:00 - 11:30am. (July 6 & 20)

Free-flow fun for the whole family! Drift between activities of your choosing; like crafts, books, colouring and more!
Drop-in on select Saturday mornings from 10:00 - 11:30am to explore various stations of unstructured morning activities for kids up to 12 and their families. (July 13 & 27, August 10)

Dive into the world of Dungeons & Dragons with Dragon Patrol! This series designed to introduce kids aged 9-12 to the game. Explore how to make characters and fight monsters, and then join us on an adventure during the one-shot campaign at the end of summer!
Dragon Patrol will run on Saturday July 13 & 27 as a drop-in program. The one shot campaign will run on Saturday, August 10 and requires registration.

We're kicking off our Summer Storytime Session with a bang!
Miss Rhonda, along with our SRP's Anya and Emma, are heading to Centennial Park for Teddy Bears' Picnic: Storytime at the Park on Wednesday, July 17th!
Swing by Centennial Park on 5th Ave in Canmore anytime between 10:00am - 12:00pm for stories, snacks, and songs. We'll play parachute games, blow bubbles, and have stamps too!
